The Breastfeeding-Friendly Employer Award
Are you a working mother who is breastfeeding and has returned to work? Does your employer support your efforts to breastfeed? The Washtenaw County Breastfeeding Coalition (WCBC) is seeking feedback from breastfeeding mothers in the area who work outside the home. We would like your help in identifying employers in Washtenaw County who are actively supporting the efforts of their breastfeeding employees when they return to work after their maternity/adoptive leave.
The WCBC will recognize and honor Washtenaw County employers who have significantly contributed to promoting and supporting breastfeeding as a vital part of the health and development of children and their families. These awards will be presented during the Michigan Breastfeeding Awareness Month, in August as a publicly acknowledged event. Nominators will also be entered into a $25 gift certificate raffle and announced at the award ceremony.
