Bank of Ann Arbor has teamed up with Ann Arbor's 107one and the Ann Arbor Area Chamber of Commerce to serve Bank of Ann Arbor's Sonic Lunch, an outdoor summer concert series at Liberty Plaza. Enjoy top local bands as they perform Thursdays from 12noon-2pm from June through September. Downtown restaurants are offering lunch specials you can bring to the park and catch all the music.

These days, it's all about teams. But the team today is not necessarily sitting in your office! Join the New Enterprise Forum as they examine collaboration in the world of innovation, from large companies who outsource, to the use of experts and even collaboration with your competitors.

The panelists will discuss how collaboration and teams have evolved as a means of achieving business goals in today's world. The panel will include:
Nick Darby, Director of Physical Sciences, Dow Chemical Company Venture Group,  
Julie A. Rajzer, Associate Attorney, Butzel Long and 
Paula Rhoades, Managing Director, Cleantech Accelerator.
 
The moderator will be Larry Schmidt, President and Co-Founder of Inovo Technologies, Inc.
 
In a special presentation, NEF will highlight winners from the Spring GLEQ competition and provide them the opportunity to present at the forum. Presenting will be the winners from GLEQ's Emerging Company category and New Business Idea category.

Ann Arbor Startup Weekend is a practical, hands-on learning experience on how to start a business. It recruits a highly motivated group of developers, business managers, startup enthusiasts, marketing gurus, graphic artists and more to build not just a company, but enable participants to learn new skills and create new relationships within the local Ann Arbor community.
 
Friday night, the group will vote on ideas and choose the top dozen or so. After that, each participant will choose an idea/team to work on and spend the rest of the weekend putting everything together for a launch. When all is said and done, each participant will be a co-founder with an ownership interest in at least one honest-to-goodness startup.
