Art IN Sight Ann Arbor Area Chamber of Commerce 115 West Huron Street, 3rd Floor, Ann Arbor Curated by Distinct Designs, Inc.
Paintings in oils and acrylics, nature scenes done in Motawi tiles, bronze sculptures of dance and even some eye-popping quilt art are on display at the Ann Arbor Area Chamber of Commerce. You will have a tough time picking out your favorite at this latest display in the rotating art show. All the works are done by local artists, bringing not only beauty but an often-inspiring sense of creativity. This remarkable display is not just for Chamber staff, but it's for the general public as well. So plan to drop by soon and return often. A whole new collection will be hung on the Chamber's walls every six to nine weeks. The art in these showings also may be purchased. And some of the pieces are quite reasonable. It almost goes without saying that an original work of art, whether large or small, is a major step up from that poster that's been hanging on your wall. For example, one quilt in this show features a map of Ann Arbor. Now imagine a quilted map of the city that highlights points of interest for your business or for someone you love. You could commission such a quilt. Here is a gift that could hardly be more original, or personal. The general public is invited to stroll through the Chamber's halls weekdays any time between 9am and 5pm. If your business is interested in purchasing art or participating in the Art IN Sight program, contact Diane Bennett at 734-427-3824. want more information? |
