SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives), “Counselors to America’s Small Business”, is a 11,500-member volunteer association that matches volunteer business counselors with present and prospective small business owners in need of business advice. SCORE has experts in virtually every area of business management. SCORE volunteers are either retired or active business owners or managers. Whether you are considering starting your own business, have a business that is experiencing problems, are ready to expand or need some other type of advice, SCORE can help with free, confidential counseling. Ann Arbor has its own local SCORE chapter and many highly experienced counselors.

Vision to Reality Workshops
The local Ann Arbor SCORE chapter, along with the Michigan Small Business Technology Development Center (SBTDC) and the Ann Arbor Area Chamber of Commerce, also offers low-cost workshops to help entrepreneurs start their businesses. Each year, SCORE counselors touch thousands of lives, generously sharing their knowledge and experience so that entrepreneurs can realize their dreams of business success. Nationwide, approximately 12,000 men and women, retired and working, donate their time and talent to assist entrepreneurs and business owners.
